Rounding up the hottest buys from the Secret Lair Drop Series over the last year.

We may now be settling into 2026, but 2025 was an incredible year for the Secret Lair Drop Series. With SpongeBob SquarePantsMarvelPlayStation, and FINAL FANTASY being some of the memorable collaborations over the last year, these releases continue to be popular on the secondary market as the subset goes from strength to strength. Another aspect of the Secret Lair Drop Series is that it presents an opportunity to snap up unique treatments at an affordable rate, so it’s never a bad opportunity to check the growing catalog for some potential deals.

As for cards that didn’t quite crack the top ten, Deadeye Navigator, Aerith’s Curaga Magic, and Blasphemous Act were all consistent purchases throughout last year. Deadeye Navigator remains a popular way to infinitely win in Commander, with the Secret Lair printing being an affordable way to bling out decks at the time of publication. Blasphemous Act appears in the highly popular Secret Lair x Marvel’s Deadpool: April Pool’s Day! release, and remains one of the best board wipes in red for Commander play. Lastly, Aerith’s Curaga Magic is a reskin of Heroic Intervention from Secret Lair x FINAL FANTASY: Grimoire and is a staple for green Commander decks. With notables out of the way, let’s look through the best-selling Secret Lair cards sold in 2025.

#10 Armiger Unleashed (Forge Anew – Rainbow Foil)

Forge Anew

Secret Lair Drop Series, Rare

Forge Anew - Secret Lair Drop Series - magic

Magic: The Gathering—FINAL FANTASY continues to be quite a huge deal, which saw various Secret Lair releases from the associated set perform incredibly well on the secondary market last year. One of these is Armiger Unleashed (Forge Anew), which is one of the handful of common bonus cards you can open from this slate of releases. Equipment archetypes saw a notable surge with Cloud, Ex-SOLDIER and Noctis, Prince of Lucis being popular options to build upon FINAL FANTASY’s release, which has driven sales for this specific printing of Forge Anew over the last year.

Primogenesis - Feed the Swarm (Rainbow Foil)
Shiva - Subtlety (Rainbow Foil)

Market Price: $387.85

Yojimbo - Solitude (Rainbow Foil)

Market Price: $447.82

As for the card, Forge Anew was first printed in The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth, and it allows you to skirt around equip costs for as long as it’s your turn and returns an equipment card from your graveyard to the battlefield. The card has seen some brief competitive play over the years, with Modern Constructed’s Hammer Time being the most prominent. Given the hefty equip cost of Colossus Hammer, Forge Anew can forgo these equipment costs and attach it to whichever creature you please, making it a strong win condition. And it’s this suite of abilities that remains popular in Commander with casual players, even if there’s little care for the Secret Lair treatment.

#9 Super State (and Rainbow Foil)

Super State

Secret Lair Drop Series, Mythic

Super State - Secret Lair Drop Series - magic

Sonic the Hedgehog was one of the more popular Secret Lair releases in 2025, which featured a mixture of reprints and mechanically new cards. Super State is one of these new cards (appearing in the Secret Lair x Sonic: Friends & Foes Drop), where it’s perhaps the best win condition for any Commander strategy that cares about loading up equipment and auras onto a specific creature (this is often called Voltron in Magic). For a whopping seven mana, Super State gives the enchanted creature first strike, trample, and haste, but also becomes a base 9/9 creature. If that wasn’t enough for you, Super State also makes it so that whenever you deal damage to an opponent, you deal that much damage to each of your opponents at the table.

Sonic the Hedgehog (Rainbow Foil)
Power Sneakers - Lightning Greaves
Knuckles's Gloves - The Reaver Cleaver

It is easy to see why Super State became such a strong purchase in 2025, even with the Secret Lair Drop releasing back in July. Mechanically new cards from a Universes Beyond release are tricky to reprint, given the association with the intellectual property. This means there’s always a risk of cards spiking on the secondary market due to demand, especially since Voltron archetypes are a popular option with casual players.

#8 Knuckles the Echidna (Rainbow Foil)

Knuckles the Echidna

Secret Lair Drop Series, Mythic

Knuckles the Echidna - Secret Lair Drop Series - magic

Speaking of cards that happen to be win conditions, Knuckles the Echidna is from the same crop of Secret Lair Drops and comes with the ability to win you the game if you have thirty or more artifacts at the beginning of your upkeep. Creating (and having) that many artifact cards in play is trivial in Commander these days, since it’s effortless to have Treasure, Food, and Clue tokens knocking about while playing.

And even Knuckles himself comes with the ability to create Treasure tokens whenever one or more creatures deal combat damage to a player, not to mention coming with double strike, trample, and haste — meaning he attacks favorably in combat. And since the release of the Secret Lair x Sonic: Friends & Foes Drop last year, Knuckles is seeing a rebound in value on the secondary market because it’s an effective win condition for Commander play.

#7 Deadly Rollick (and Rainbow Foil)

Deadly Rollick

Secret Lair Drop Series, Rare

Deadly Rollick - Secret Lair Drop Series - magic

Deadly Rollick is one of the best removal spells you can play in Commander, as you have the potential to cast the card without paying its mana cost if your commander is on the battlefield. Even with a handful of reprints throughout 2025, it’s the Deadpool printing from the excellent Secret Lair x Marvel’s Deadpool: April Pool’s Day! that became a top purchase throughout last year, which includes Rainbow Foil copies as well. If you’re looking for a copy of Deadly Rollick and are indifferent to card aesthetics, the Rainbow Foil printing happens to be the most affordable copy at the time of publication.

#6 Deadpool, Trading Card (and Rainbow Foil)

Deadpool, Trading Card

Secret Lair Drop Series, Mythic

Deadpool, Trading Card - Secret Lair Drop Series - magic

Appearing in the same Secret Lair product, Deadpool, Trading Card is the only mechanically new card from this release. It has become one of the more polarizing commanders to play in a casual setting, as it requires housekeeping that can be quite hard to track through a typical game of Commander. For four mana, Deadpool comes with the ability to exchange his textbox with another creature in play, along with the option to draw everyone a card if you sacrifice Deadpool. And since the Secret Lair Drop’s release April last year, the Marvel’s Deadpool: April Pool’s Day! Drop has become incredibly popular — with the previously-mentioned Blasphemous Act being another notable purchase from this crop of cards.

#5 Plains (#1513)

Plains

Secret Lair Drop Series, Rare

Plains - Secret Lair Drop Series - magic

Appearing in the wildly popular Raining Cats and Dogs Commander Precon Deck, it’s the Full-Art Plains from this release that has become one of the best-selling Secret Lair cards from last year. It’s really easy to see why these are so desirable, as they depict various adorable cats and dogs across a colorful vista. Kindred archetypes continue to be popular in casual formats, as they allow players to keep to a theme that centers around their favorite creature type. Unsurprisingly, Cats and Dogs are some of the more popular options for casual play.

#4 An Offer You Can’t Refuse

An Offer You Can’t Refuse

Secret Lair Showdown, Rare

An Offer You Can't Refuse - Secret Lair Showdown - magic

We don’t talk much about the Secret Lair Showdown cards, but these are cards you can acquire from achieving a deep run at a competitive event or just by attending one. Even though this adorable printing of An Offer You Can’t Refuse was printed back in 2023, it became a consistent purchase throughout last year. What makes An Offer You Can’t Refuse such a popular card for Commander play is the ability to counter a noncreature spell for one mana. Sure, you give the opponent two Treasure tokens — this downside can often feel trivial if you’re winning the game shortly after.

Expressive Iteration
Swords to Plowshares
Eldritch Evolution

One growing trend we’re seeing with the Secret Lair Drop Series is that players are seeking out fancy versions of Commander staples if they happen to be within budget. An Offer You Can’t Refuse is certainly one of these, which depicts Cat Jace proposing an offer that probably won’t work out for the opponent. Also, it’s a really nice callback to Fact or Fiction, which also presents a similar outcome (and feeling) when cast.

#3 Porom’s Silence Magic (Silence – Rainbow Foil)

Silence

Secret Lair Drop Series, Rare

Silence - Secret Lair Drop Series - magic

Porom’s Silence Magic is another common bonus card from the Secret Lair x FINAL FANTASY releases, which also became one of the hottest purchases last year. Silence has quite the history in Magic: The Gathering, allowing you to stop your opponents from casting a spell for a turn. While you don’t see Silence at casual Commander tables, it’s a staple in competitive Commander (cEDH) as it is a mana-efficient way to stop your opponents from doing anything as you carve your way to victory. With the continued prevalence of FINAL FANTASY since its release last year, Silence has cropped up in more spell-based strategies such as Y’shtola, Night’s Blessed and Celes, Rune Knight as a flavorful addition.

#2 Harmless Offering (Rainbow Foil)

Harmless Offering

Secret Lair Drop Series, Rare

Harmless Offering - Secret Lair Drop Series - magic

Harmless Offering is the common bonus card from the Secret Lair x Marvel’s Deadpool: April Pool’s Day! release, which depicts Gwenpool gifting a harmless Jeff the Land Shark to a target opponent. Harmless Offering doesn’t see a ton of play these days, but it does create an interesting tool for politicking in Commander, especially if you have a Demonic Pact in play. With Demonic Pact, you’re able to give the enchantment to an opponent when the option of “you lose the game” is only available to them, which is something you can actually do in Standard Constructed thanks to the release of Magic Foundations.

#1 Command Tower (#7012 – Rainbow Foil)

Command Tower

Secret Lair Drop Series, Rare

Command Tower - Secret Lair Drop Series - magic

Given how widespread the SpongeBob SquarePants Secret Lair release was last year, it isn’t much of a shock to see the Command Tower (#7012 – Rainbow Foil) from these drops be the best-selling Secret Lair card in 2025. The iconic pineapple under the sea printing of Command Tower was one of the many bonus cards from this series of products, with Smothering Tithe and cOuNTeRspELl being some of the rarer and high valye bonus cards you can collect.

cOuNTeRspELl (7010) (Rainbow Foil)

Market Price: $211.75

Smothering Tithe (7009) (Rainbow Foil)

Market Price: $451.83

Dismember (7011) (Rainbow Foil)

Market Price: $19.01

Command Tower is one of the many staples in Commander, as it allows you to tap for mana based on your commander’s color identity. Generally, Command Tower is one of the more common bonus cards you can receive in Secret Lair Drops these days, as it allows you to personalize your decks while marrying the flavor with many of these Universes Beyond releases. Sonic the Hedgehog’s Master Emerald Shrine was another top-performing purchase throughout 2025, which is another flavor of Command Tower you can collect.
